Radiant CMS

Managing a website is a huge pain. There’s so many tools out there and they all have serious limitations or they’re way too complicated to setup and use.

That’s why I was really pleased when I heard about Radiant CMS today. I gave it a quick spin and it seems like it’s doing everything right (ie simple enough to work). Very nice interface.

I can’t wait till they release a 1.0 product!

Uhuh? Helpful Errors

flashinstallererror.png

Well this is as much Macromedia’s Adobe‘s fault (for using a crappy installer) as the maker of said installer.

Could this be any less helpful? How about telling me the name of the file with the bad permissions? Or how about letting me authenticate to nuke those permissions?

Grr!

Tubby 0.5.1

A kind user sent me a Simplified Chinese localization of Tubby so I’ve integrated it in. I’ve also been able to verify that Tubby runs fine on the new Intel machines.

Check it out.

MacBook Pro & Boot Camp

I just got my MacBook Pro yesterday and today, Apple announced Boot Camp. Yeeha! I immediately gave it a spin and it’s awesome!

Windows purrs on the machine and even Unreal Tournament 2004 (Demo) ran great. I got it at 60fps with most of the settings turned up. For some reason, Unreal didn’t recognize the full resolution 1440×900 and instead only allowed me to go to 1152×864. Windows itself ran at the native resolution with no problems.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that I’m some sort of Windows back-switcher. But it’s nice to have around for testing web pages and games!

I bet it will really increase the sales of MacBook Pro …

MacBook Pro

Yay!

I recently ordered a MacBook Pro so that I could have a better development machine and could actually test Universal applications.

It came today! The packaging was immaculate. I’m not done installing everything I need on it. But, so far, it works great. It’s especially fast at compiling which should save me lots of time.

The only problem has been .Mac syncing … and that’s because the servers seem to be down. :(
